I found her on the side of the road in Maroubra — and instead of ending up in landfill, she’s been fully restored and upcycled into a vibrant, functional piece.
She’s a little larger than my usual square ottomans, which makes her perfect as a statement ottoman footstool, but still easy to move around the house.
I rebuilt her from the inside out with new webbing and fresh foam, then upholstered her in a bold cotton fabric from France, made in a small family-run mill.
Finished with oak dowel legs and wool felt details ✨
She’s one of those pieces that just adapts to your space —
use her as a footrest, side table, extra seat, or even as a flexible chaise if you don’t have the room for a big sofa setup.
