Spend a full day learning the gentle art of upholstery and create your own round drum ottoman — a beautiful, functional piece you’ll take home the very same day from Dolls Point in Sydney starting at 9:30am and finishing aroun 4pm.
This workshop is warm, relaxed and completely beginner-friendly. We slow down, unplug from our phones, and spend the day making something with our hands. You’ll learn how to build up your piece, add padding, stretch and staple fabric, and attach a side panel for that perfectly smooth finish.
Foam and wadding are pre-cut and the internal frame is ready for you — all you need to bring is your chosen upholstery fabric. I’ll guide you every step of the way, with plenty of time for breaks, chats, coffee and little nibbles.
Each class is capped at just two students, so you get personalised support and a calm, creative day where you’re encouraged to try something new, surprise yourself, and make something of your own.
You’ll leave with a finished 39cm x 39cm x 43cm ottoman, ready for your living room, bedroom or cosy reading corner.
What to Bring (Fabric Requirements)
Bring upholstery fabric: 1 metre x 125cm wide
Choose medium–heavy-weight upholstery fabric.
No lightweight cotton, quilting cotton, thin denim or stretchy fabrics.
After booking, I’ll email fabric guidance and places to shop — or you can purchase fabric directly from me at wholesale pricing.

You may reschedule your workshop to another available date up to 3 days before your session.
Cancellations
Workshop bookings are non-refundable.
If you cancel within 3 days of the workshop or do not attend on the day (no-show), no refund or reschedule can be offered.
If I need to reschedule
If I’m unwell or something unexpected comes up, I’ll contact you as soon as possible and arrange a new date that suits you — even individually if needed. Your booking will always be honoured.
